Oresund Heavy Industries AB is the parent company of the subsidiary companies Oresund Dry Docks AB and Oresund Steel Construction AB. The group operates within the fields of ship repairs and reconstruction (through its subsidiary Oresund Dry Docks) and the manufacturing of large, complex steel structures (through its subsidiary Oresund Steel Construction.)
During recent years, the group has experienced impressive growth. This is mainly due to the substantial investments we have made in order to meet the increasing demand for our services. Oresund Heavy Industries offers leading competencies within each area of operation, a continual increase in capacities and ideal location – strategically situated on the edge of the Oresund, one of the world’s busiest shipping routes.

Oresund Heavy Industries and its subsidiaries, Oresund Dry Docks and Oresund Steel Construction, are environmentally and quality certified according to the international standards: ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001.
ISO 14001 is the globally recognized standard for environmental management systems. This certification is evidence of our commitment to the environment by working in a systematic and efficient manner. The ISO 14001 environmental management system helps us to systematically minimize our impact on the environment and our surroundings.
ISO 9001 is a quality management system that provides us with both a platform and a systematic approach toward customer requirements, process and efficiency, as well as helping us to improve our internal processes. We are constantly working toward improvement in order to meet our customers’ requirements and achieve our business goals.
Our certification ensures we maintain even greater levels of environmental and quality control, in order to meet our customers’ demands for security and safety.
WORK
Oresund Heavy Industries is located in the heart of the dynamic Oresund region. We are the parent company of Oresund Dry Docks AB, which specializes in ship repair, maintenance and reconstruction, and Oresund Steel Construction, a manufacturer of large steel structures. The corporation has 90 employees and an annual turnover in excess of SEK 250 million.
The staff of Oresund Heavy Industries comprises of administrative and financial staff, as well as a purchasing team. We also act as the support unit for the other companies within the corporation. Commitment, flexibility, responsibility, humility and organization are our watchwords, which is why all our staff are part of a continuous competence development programme.
